During the second quarter of 2021, the top 5 social networking apps in Nigeria exhibited diverse performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

BIGO LIVE-Live Stream, Go Live experienced a significant rise in weekly revenue, peaking at around $22K in mid-June. Download numbers fluctuated, reaching a high of 37K in early May before stabilizing around 25K towards the end of the quarter. Active users showed a steady increase, growing from 127K at the start of the quarter to 148K by the end.

Dingtone: Phone Calls + Texts saw relatively stable revenue, with weekly earnings hovering around $10K to $12K. Downloads remained consistent, averaging around 3K per week. Active users also maintained stability, with slight fluctuations around the 21K mark.

InMessage: Meet, Chat, Date had a consistent weekly revenue of approximately $5K to $6K, with a minor decline towards the end of June. Downloads followed a similar pattern, averaging around 7K to 8K weekly. The number of active users remained steady, fluctuating slightly around 29K throughout the quarter.

Text Me - Phone Call + Texting reported a peak in revenue at $10K in mid-April, with a gradual decrease to around $5K by the end of June. Weekly downloads were consistent, averaging around 26K, while active users showed a modest increase, growing from 117K to 122K during the quarter.

Status Saver for WA Story Save saw a decline in revenue, from $3.5K at the end of March to $2.7K by the end of June. Weekly downloads increased to nearly 10K in late June, and active users doubled from 8K to 12K over the same period.
